Leading global manufacturer of standard and custom- engineered cryogenic vessels for energy, agricultural, and medical industries; division produces annual sales of $100M.
Bio-Medical Plant Manager/Lean Project Manager (2009 to Present)
Recruited to lead transformation of newly acquired factory in China into Lean-focused factory to mirror factory in United States. Administer duel-role Lean and project management for United States Bio-Medical factory as well as factory in China.
• Converted the Bio-Medical division factory floor from a push system to a continuous flow based on customer Takt; reducing inventory by over 50% while improving customer service to 99%.
• Developed and implemented Lean Kaizen training program at US operation to drive continuous improvement activities that have resulted in 15% efficiency gain, throughput improvement from 16 days to 6, and inventory reduction of over 50% in this division in FY 2009.
• Developed focused factory layout in China by creating cross functional team including design and industrial engineering, operations, and factory personnel to improve flow through utilizing Lean principles
