SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATION: • Project Engineering Management and Design experience of various plant process modification, environmental control and major plant expansion projects. • Extensive experience in Control Systems / Instrumentation and Electrical designs, including Process Control Engineering Instrumentation reliability. • Hands-on Control Systems operating experience in variety of process plants, including operating instruction, process operation assistance and troubleshooting Control /Instrumentation problems. • Experience in engineering applications, configuration, programming, and specification of PLC, HMI, Motion Control and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). • Experience in both analog and digital systems, shutdown system design, safety interlocks, burner management systems, data acquisition systems, remote I/O, DCS to PLC interfaces, operator interfaces and process control communication network including SCADA and Telemetry. • Working experience with Fisher, Foxboro and Honeywell DCS equipment and microprocessor based controller, DEC equipment including configuration and specification. • Plant instrumentation and Control System design, specification, sizing, selection, recommendation and requisitioning. • Process design / development and economic evaluation experience including upgrading plant Supervisory Control System. Communication Protocols, converters and interface devices. • Extensive experience in field installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and plant startup. • Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining DCS equipment and Process Control Instrumentation. Upgraded several control rooms from analog / pneumatic instrumentation to digital control Systems. • Field and supervisory experience including job leadership and teamwork. Provided training and supervision to engineers and technicians . • Represented the company as a plant liaison to the engineering contractors to provide engineering assistance and supervision. • Electrical design experience, including ladder logic, MCC, power distribution, compressor control. UPS, variable frequency drives, Control Panel design and Electrical / Control wiring diagrams. • Standby Power System experience, including Generator Control Systems, Low and Medium Voltage Paralleling Switchgear, Protective relays, single and three line wiring diagrams. • Experience with process Instrumentation in complex level measurements, flow, pressure, temperature and process analyzers. Experience in developing specification and philosophy of plant Emergency Shutdown System. • Developed Instrumentation / Controls standards, design details, redundancy guidelines, preventive maintenance program, ISO , OSHA 1910, JCAHO and FDA Six Sigma DFSS Belt certified and team member of lean manufacturing / focused factory. • Working knowledge of PC hardware and software.
