ATK to Acquire Space Systems Company – PSI Group Acquisition Positions ATK for Continued Growth
Minneapolis, July 12, 2004 – ATK (NYSE: ATK) has agreed in principle to acquire the PSI Group, which includes Pressure Systems Inc., Programmed Composites Inc., and Able Engineering Company, Inc. PSI Group is a leading manufacturer of satellite components and propellant tanks. PSI provides mission-critical components for the emerging needs of the U.S. military, including next-generation global positioning, navigation and communication satellites.

United Defense Receives Navy Award for Minor Caliber Gun Systems
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, June 8, 2004 - United Defense Industries, Inc. (NYSE:UDI) has been awarded a contract for production, engineering support and spares for the Mk 38 Mod 2 Machine Gun System Ordnance Alteration program by the U.S. Navy with a value not to exceed $395.5 million.
