Insights Trains the Minnesota National Guard
Defense Alliance Member Insights Goes “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon”
St. Paul, Minnesota 7/20/2010 – Insights, a global learning and development company, began providing its unique consulting services this month to Soldiers of the Minnesota National Guard who recently returned from overseas combat duty. Insights is a corporate member of the Defense Alliance of Minnesota. The company and its services were the centerpiece of the Alliance’s June 2010 event, “An Evening of Insights,” held at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
Since then, Insights provided training to over 300 Minnesota National Guard Soldiers in Morris and Marshall, Minnesota over a weekend in early July. The “Insights Discovery Personal Profile” is a development tool which gives people insight into themselves and others, particularly with regard to their communication and leadership styles. The Army National Guard has determined that the profile is a valuable tool for its returning Soldiers who have spent significant time in a high stress environment, and are re-integrating into the civilian workplace and community.
“This is really exciting for us,” said Scott Schwefel, CEO of Insights Twin Cities, who dedicated his weekend training the Soldiers with his wife, Linda. “We have looked for a meaningful and lasting way to give back to our Soldiers who have done so much for us. This seems to have hit the mark, and it was gratifying to see them really enjoy themselves at the same time.”
