The Defense Alliance of Minnesota was formed in July, 2004. The Alliance aims to enhance the already-successful network of people and firms created by the Minnesota Defense Industry Roundtable (and the associated on-line Newsletter) begun in 2003. The ultimate goal is to nurture and expand Minnesota’s defense industry job base and further promote the state’s important contributions to the Nation’s defense.
The Alliance includes two important elements: a Roundtable that will meet a minimum of annually to discuss and formulate collective strategies for industry and government to promote defense jobs in the state; and a Web site that aims to be a total resource for ongoing development of the Roundtable and its agenda, important news, trends, and postings regarding defense jobs in the state, and a bridge to useful tools, consulting firms and professional organizations.
Participation in the Alliance is actively sought among groups and individuals who have an interest in seeing the state’s defense contributions grow, including large and small firms, our elected officials, and professional military and trade organizations.
